Dalton started its production of textile auxiliaries in 1948 with the Daltonfix, a fixing agent for direct dyes, which represented a qualitative and innovative step, quite important for that period. The various softeners for cotton, formulated on the basis of stearic amides also formed part of the initial range.
In the 50s the variety of productions enlarged including the various process coadjuvants and most of the ennobling agents for cotton, wool, silk and for the first artificial and synthetic fibres.
At the beginning of the 70s, the production of silicone products, like anti-foam agents, softeners and elastomers began. Currently, the productive capacity exceeds 2,000 tons per year.
Later on, Dalton developed other sophisticated products such as permanent mothproofing agents and throughout the years the wide range was renewed producing auxiliaries directed more towards the new market demands: low toxicity, high biodegradability and ease of use.
At the end of the 80s, we improved the production lines, for instance, to produce the formulation of new silicone microemulsions, as well as the development of a complete range of products for the treatment of waste water specific to the Textile industry, which has a productive capacity of more than 40,000 tons per year, the Limbiate plant is technologically advanced, and which guarantees a consistent, quality finished product that responds to the state-of-the-art technical and economic demands of environmental safety.
